Summary:

SCA Pharma is seeking a results-driven sales representative to join their commercial team. This role involves business planning, conducting impactful sales conversations, and building strong client relationships with hospital pharmacy directors, leadership, and procurement specialists. The sales representative will work in a hybrid model (virtual and live) to achieve sales goals, collaborate with the Regional Sales Director and team members, and drive business growth. A positive attitude, adaptability, and a focus on achieving objectives in a dynamic, rapidly growing environment are essential for success.

Essential functions:

  • Drive revenue by prioritizing accounts, identifying decision-makers, and successfully navigating the sales cycle to close business.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Pharmacy Directors at the local hospital level.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to introduce products and identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of market access opportunities and challenges, and effectively communicate pull-through tactics to support customers.
  • Foster positive, compliant relationships with the Commercial Team and other internal stakeholders.
  • Engage with prospective and current customers both virtually and in person, managing the end-to-end sales process.
  • Analyze competitors by evaluating trends and identifying new sales opportunities.
  • Generate sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, building rapport, providing technical information, and preparing quotations.
  • Develop detailed account plans using analytical tools (e.g., PowerBI), reviewing customer buying history, suggesting related and new products, and explaining their value.
  • Maintain accurate account information in CRM (Salesforce).
  • Ensure continuous improvement in quality results by adhering to standards and recommending enhanced policies and procedures.
  • Stay updated on product knowledge by studying new product descriptions and participating in relevant educational opportunities.
  • Contribute to departmental and organizational goals by accepting ownership of new and diverse requests.
  • Seek opportunities to add value and enhance job performance.
  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively navigate the sales cycle, overcome objections, and close deals.


Requirements

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 3+ years of experience in pharmaceutical sales or B2B sales
  • Proficient in PC-based applications (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to understand and apply industry standards and best practices

Travel Requirements:

  • Up to 30% required travel for customer meetings and conferences
