We are an established company and a powerhouse in Europe and parts of the Middle East, and we are now expanding into the USA market. This is an opportunity to get in early on the US expansion and grow both the business and your career.

Working at Zennio means working in a vibrant, international, and high-performance technological company that offers an ideal environment for those who want to have a real impact on the organization's growth, are eager to take on challenging initiatives, and be rewarded for their efforts.

Creating Unlimited Possibilities within a Diverse, Global Organization

The Regional Sales Manager – Smart Building Solutions is committed to driving our USA business sales as the senior company representative in a designated region. This role supports sales and growth of our Smart Buildings Automation Controls Solutions to residential, commercial, multi-dwelling units, and hotel vertical segments. It is primarily a hunter role with a competitive base salary and an attractive commission structure to support new business development. Our Solutions Sales team aims to achieve booking goals by developing and implementing plans to grow, develop, and manage relationships with architects & engineers (A&E), contractors, consultants, developers, and end-users. You will work with engineering, general contractors, and other project influencers to understand project scope and ensure Zennio products are included in specifications, meeting customer requirements. You will receive strong technical support from Zennio for system design, BOM, and proposals based on project needs.

You will work remotely and must be located in LA, San Diego, or San Jose; approximately 50-60% travel is expected, and a company car is provided.

As Regional Sales Manager, you will:

  • Achieve new order/booking goals based on your territorial quota.
  • Develop and maintain a qualified funnel of opportunities, including forecasting expected order intake, and deliver consistent results.
  • Understand the marketplace, competitors, customers, and decision influencers across the region, segments, and verticals. Stay current on automation market trends.
  • Create a market and account management plan focusing on strategic growth, identifying new business opportunities, and developing go-to-market strategies.
  • Act as a consultant to various levels of customer organizations, understanding their challenges and recommending solutions to ensure building system performance aligns with business goals.
  • Attend industry networking events and participate in professional organizations to build contacts and represent Zennio.
  • Discuss budgeting and investment requirements with customers.
  • Position Zennio as an industry leader leveraging our smart building automation solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver excellent customer outcomes.
  • Work with sales and marketing support to maximize customer engagement.
  • Partner with sales estimators and partners to prepare cost estimates and bid packages.
  • Plan, target, and acquire new projects and accounts with other sales teams.
  • Set pricing based on the value of services offered.
  • Coordinate with operations, finance, legal, and other resources to close sales.
  • Participate in sales meetings, workshops, and seminars to stay updated on market and product trends.
  • Spend at least 50% of your time in customer-facing activities, including on-site visits.
  • Support existing customers and actively seek new ones.
  • Travel overnight approximately 10% for training and business development, depending on your territory.

You will qualify for this role if you:

Have a minimum university degree, at least 3 years of relevant experience (preferably in automation products), demonstrate financial expertise in estimating and selling technical solutions, and possess strong organizational, presentation, and negotiation skills. Must be 21 years or older, hold a valid driver’s license with limited violations, and be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Experience with Microsoft Office is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:
