Job summary

Sonova is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead sales growth across New England (CT, MA, NH, RI, NYC & Long Island). This travelling role requires up to 70% travel, with a focus on patient experience and repeat business, while maintaining strong partner relationships and brand representation of Unitron.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in clinical or medical device sales, Audiology degree preferred, and excellent communication, planning, and data-driven decision skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required; Masters or Doctorate in Audiology preferred.
  • 3+ years' experience in a clinical setting, medical device sales, or hearing aid sales preferred.
  • Proficiency with Unitron hearing aid programming software and strong technical aptitude.

Responsibilities

  • Make face to face sales presentations and selling appointments with customers and prospects.
  • Achieve revenue and unit budget goals for the territory through consultative services.
  • Guide new customers through onboarding to create loyalty to Unitron.
  • Innovate to achieve customer goals.

Regional Sales Manager - New England
New England - CT, MA, NH, RI, NYC & Long Island
Purpose of role

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) strategically partners with customers and business owners to drive sales growth, patient experience and repeat/referral business. The RSM will maintain and foster partner-oriented working relationships with customers, prospects and fellow Unitron brand ambassadors that challenges everyone to be their best while respectful and professional.

This is a travelling sales position with up to 70% travel expectations, including overnight trips.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Make face to face sales presentations and selling appointments with customers and prospects that align with the Unitron brand. Minimum of 55 sales calls per month (average of 3 per day, 15 per week) required
  • Achieve individual revenue and unit budget goals for a given territory through successful consultative services that focus on the individuality and uniqueness of each customer and prospect.
  • Successfully guide new customers through an onboarding process that creates loyalty to Unitron
  • Innovate constantly to achieve customer goals
  • Clearly understand market dynamics and how to use data to drive decision making
  • Manage appointments and travel for best logistics and expense management
  • Other functions as required to achieve territory objectives
Education and Skillset
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required, Masters or Doctorate in Audiology preferred
  • 3+ years' experience in a clinical setting, medical device sales, or hearing aid sales preferred
  • Prior hearing aid industry experience strongly desired, but not required
  • Strong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills, with the ability and commitment to follow up
  • Ability to work with the Unitron hearing aid programming software, requiring a solid technical aptitude
  • Effective ability to analyze problems and solve them in the best interests of the customer and Unitron
  • Must be willing and able to close the sale, finding a win‑win situation for both the Company and customer
  • Effective verbal and written English communication and compelling presentation skills, excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer orientation
  • Proficient computer skills (MS Office Suite) with a strong technical aptitude

A minimum of 200Mb/sec download and 10Mb/sec upload speed internet connectivity is required to support any remote/hybrid employee functionality at Sonova

This role's base salary pay range is between: $91,200 - $110,000. This role is commission eligible.
