Job Title: Regional Sales Manager -Smart Lighting Controls
Location: Midwest Region (Remote-based Chicago, Detroit, or Ohio preferred)

About the Company:
Our client is a fast-growing leader in wireless lighting control solutions, unifying smart and legacy systems into one powerful platform. With a reputation for innovation and rapid growth, they're now seeking an experienced Sales Representative to expand relationships with lighting manufacturers across the Midwest region.

Position Overview:
Were looking for a sales professional with a proven track record in specification sales, preferably within lighting or building controls. This is a high-impact, field-based role focused on growing business with fixture manufacturers, developing projects, and supporting partners from spec through close.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage strategic stakeholder relationships across the Midwest
  • Drive the sales cycle from technical education through closing

  • Promote and position the company's platform to design and specification teams

  • Collaborate with rep agencies, contractors, distributors, and internal technical resources

  • Create, protect, and close lighting control projects within OEM accounts

  • Travel within the region (up to 50%) to meet customers and partners

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 5+ years in controls sales, ideally in lighting, or electrical products
  • Strong understanding of project-based sales and specification-driven business

  • Experience working with rep agencies and design/spec communities

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to create new business opportunities

  • Based in or near a major Midwest metro (Chicago, Detroit, Columbus, etc.)
