About the Company:
Our client is a fast-growing leader in wireless lighting control solutions, unifying smart and legacy systems into one powerful platform. With a reputation for innovation and rapid growth, they're now seeking an experienced Sales Representative to expand relationships with lighting manufacturers across the Midwest region.
Position Overview:
Were looking for a sales professional with a proven track record in specification sales, preferably within lighting or building controls. This is a high-impact, field-based role focused on growing business with fixture manufacturers, developing projects, and supporting partners from spec through close.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive the sales cycle from technical education through closing
Promote and position the company's platform to design and specification teams
Collaborate with rep agencies, contractors, distributors, and internal technical resources
Create, protect, and close lighting control projects within OEM accounts
Travel within the region (up to 50%) to meet customers and partners
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Strong understanding of project-based sales and specification-driven business
Experience working with rep agencies and design/spec communities
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to create new business opportunities
Based in or near a major Midwest metro (Chicago, Detroit, Columbus, etc.)
