METTLER TOLEDO is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead the regional support team and drive outstanding sales performance. You will ensure Field Sales Specialists are developed into an excellent core element serving both external and internal customers.

Travel up to 50% is expected while building relationships, coaching, and coordinating with other MT divisions to maximize regional opportunities. This is a role at a global leader in precision instruments with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from four year college or equivalent experience required.
• 5 to 10 years relevant sales experience.
• Travel requirements up to 50% and ability to travel by air as needed.

Regional Sales Manager leads the regional support team by inspiring, coaching and motivating to deliver outstanding sales performance. You will ensure that our Field Sales Specialists are developed into and viewed as an excellent, outstanding core element of our Business Area that serves and supports both external and internal customers. He/she runs his/her region as an effective, efficient selling organization and strives to make it a world class organization in all relevant categories; Sales Performance, Product Competency and P & L management/expense control.

• Achievement of region targets for sales, margin and key performance indicators.
• Lead direct reports with a leadership style that will allow them to be successful in achieving their personal goals and the goals of the company.
• Measure sales progress and provide continuous support to sales team on development of key Business Area strategies, plans, budgets, quotas and objectives and implement them within the region.
• Maintain thorough product knowledge for all products within the team.
• Continuously monitor product and application know-how of all team members. Identify weaknesses and ensure improvements.
• Promote the generation of leads across the entire MT product line.
• Be a liaison with other business areas/divisions/units (i.e. lab and packaging) to leverage opportunities for the region and the corporation in key accounts
• All other duties as assigned.

What You Need to Succeed

• Bachelor's degree from four year college or equivalent experience required
• 5 to 10 years relevant sales experience
• Skilled at building and maintaining long-term relationships, coalitions, and networks
• Travel requirements for this position are typically up to 50%, and the ability to operate a motor vehicle could be required in those instances. Must have the ability to travel by air based on business need.
