This role requires close collaboration with independent sales representatives, distributors, prospective partners, wholesalers, and internal stakeholders to achieve or exceed regional sales targets. Success in this position is driven by strong leadership, strategic planning, business development, and effective relationship management.The ideal candidate is a proven people leader with a passion for coaching, customer engagement, and channel development. They have experience managing sales agencies, are well-versed in two-step distribution and pro-dealer channels, and have successfully represented multiple brands and product categories.Key Job Responsibilities:Regional Strategy & Execution- Translate national sales strategies into actionable regional business plans and performance targets.
- Provide accurate forecasts and contribute to broader sales and operational planning.
- Monitor regional performance and adjust plans as needed to achieve objectives.
Team Leadership & Development- Lead, coach, and develop a team of sales agencies and a BDM to drive sales and grow market share.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance management processes.
Sales Growth & Business Development- Identify new business opportunities and drive regional growth in alignment with company strategy.
- Collaborate with the Director of Sales on customer strategies and sales planning and execute those plans effectively within the assigned region.
- Support brand initiatives and promotional efforts at the distributor and wholesale level.
Customer Relationship Management- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, prospects, and regional sales leaders.
- Support the team in relationship development, solution selling, and closing deals.
Reporting and Pipeline Management- Report on sales activities, pipeline development, and regional opportunities.
- Monitor key performance metrics including revenue, profitability, and market share.
Communication- Provide timely communication to senior leadership regarding major developments, market trends, and competitive activity.
- Maintain clear, consistent communication with internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment on priorities, goals, and market feedback.
Industry Engagement- Represent the company at tradeshows, customer events, and industry functions.
- Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive activity to help shape strategic direction.
Required Education and Experience:- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field
- 5–10 years of experience in a Regional Sales Manager or equivalent role within a distributor-based environment
- Experience managing multi-brand portfolios and navigating complex sales channels, including independent reps and two-step distribution
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing sales teams and agencies
- Demonstrated success in sales planning, strategic execution, and change management
- Familiarity with the STAFDA channel is preferred
- Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration with marketing, product, and operations teams to align sales strategies
- Strong financial and business acumen, including forecasting, analytics, and performance tracking
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
- Salary Range: $95k to $125k
Location & Travel:This is a remote-based position requiring 40% to 50% travel throughout the Central Region, which includes both the Midwest and the Southwest.Work Environment:Chervon North America operates in a casual and fun environment.
