Job summary

Syneos Health in Tampa, FL is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead a new cardiovascular sales team and drive regional strategy. You will recruit, coach and develop CSRs, translate national strategies into region plans, and leverage analytics to identify growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences, Business or a related field required.
• 8+ years of pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical, medical or related sales experience.
• 3+ years first line sales leadership experience in the pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical field.
• Cardiovascular/Cardiometabolic experience is highly preferred.
• Previous team and new product launch experience in a specialty disease area.
• Previous experience with market access/reimbursement highly preferred.
• Ability to learn complex scientific information, apply technical proficiency and effectively communicate.
• Demonstrated track record of leading successful sales teams in a competitive environment requiring a high level of initiative, accountability and compliant actions.
• Solid business acumen, including the ability to access and interpret territory data for call planning.
• Proficiency with CRM, AI tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
• A valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 60% required.

Responsibilities

• Translate Strategy to Execution: formulate localized region-level business plans.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: analyze market data, KPIs to identify growth opportunities.
• Lead a team of Cardiovascular Sales Representatives to educate targeted physicians and accounts.
• Direct CSRs in the acquisition, expansion and retention of targeted business.
• Engage and cultivate key accounts to support growth of business objectives.
• Field Coaching & Mentorship: spend time in the field with CSRs and provide feedback.
• Attract, coach, develop and retain high performers in selling and account management.
• Territory Management: optimize territory, allocate resources, manage budget and metrics.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration with FRMs, TLLs, marketing, training, compliance, and medical affairs.
• Comply with all legal, regulatory and compliance policies; maintain integrity.

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for meeting and exceeding sales goals and the development and performance of all sales activities in an assigned market. The RSM will recruit, build, lead and coach a new, high-performing field sales team of Cardiovascular Sales Representatives (CSR’s). This is a high-visibility, entrepreneurial leadership role. As the first-line leader, you will be responsible for transforming a group of new hires into a cohesive, competitive unit. You will leverage advanced analytics, market research, and local geographic trends to pinpoint untapped business opportunities and construct comprehensive regional business plans designed for flawless execution at launch.

Responsibilities

• Translate Strategy to Execution: Interpret national and area sales strategies, formulating localized region-level business plans that capitalize on market opportunities and address competitive dynamics.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze market data, sales trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify growth opportunities, adjust tactics proactively, and drive accountability across the region.
• Lead a team of Cardiovascular Sales Representatives (CSR’s) to educate targeted physicians and accounts to achieve specific business goals
• Direct CSRs in the acquisition, expansion and retention of targeted business within the assigned geographic area.
• Full engagement and cultivation of key accounts and customers by developing and implementing strategies that support the growth of business objectives.
• Field Coaching & Mentorship: Spend consistent time in the field conducting live calls with CSRs. Provide real-time, constructive, and actionable feedback to continuously elevate sales capabilities, clinical/scientific knowledge, and execution.
• Attract, coach, develop and retain individuals who will ensure high level performance and demonstrate strong capability in selling skills, account management and compliant customer engagement
• Territory Management: Oversee and optimize the assigned geographic territory, managing resource allocation, budget execution, and performance metrics to meet or exceed business goals.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner effectively with internal stakeholders (such as FRMs, TLLs, marketing, training, compliance, and medical affairs) to align field initiatives and ensure seamless execution of brand strategies.
• Comply with all legal, regulatory and compliance policies and demonstrate a high level of integrity and professionalism at all times.

Requirements
