Qualifications and Experience:
- 5+ years of SLED sales experience with a proven track record of exceeding sales quotas in security, networking, and/or software solutions.
- 3+ years leading a sales team focused on acquiring new business and new logos.
- Strong hunter mentality with direct experience managing teams responsible for creating demand, customer acquisition, and sourcing pipelines.
- Results-driven with a consistent record of over-achievement.
- Experience closing complex sales involving multiple decision-makers in new or emerging solution categories.
- Ability to establish and nurture relationships with executive-level partners and customers.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, capable of translating technical features into business value.
- Familiarity with consultative, value-based sales methodologies (e.g., Force Management, Challenger Sale, MEDDIC).
- Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
What You Will Do:
- Recruit and hire a world-class team of SLED sellers on time and within budget.
- Manage and enable sellers to meet key productivity metrics and growth milestones.
- Implement a disciplined pipeline generation approach utilizing all resources including field sales, marketing, channel partners, and sales development.
- Develop and execute a regional account strategy fostering team collaboration and sales execution.
- Partner with Sales Engineering for product demos and proof-of-concept programs.
- Build strong relationships with existing customers focusing on value realization, renewals, upselling, and referrals.
- Accurate forecasting of revenue through disciplined deal inspection and forecast methodologies.
- Develop strategic relationships with current and new channel partners.
- Lead Quarterly Business Reviews to assess sales productivity and strategic progress.
- Identify and close new business opportunities at the executive level within the territory.
Role Responsibilities and Deliverables:
- Own the sales team in your territory with the goal to exceed annual recurring revenue targets.
- Focus on selling to SLED accounts from initial contact through contract signing and upselling.
- Recruit, hire, and maintain a team aligned with regional capacity and budget, building a pipeline of future candidates.
- Lead a data-driven business approach to develop Account Executives and improve results.
- Maintain relationships with key customers to ensure renewals and upsell opportunities.
- Advocate for customer needs within internal teams to prioritize revenue-generating activities.
