Regional Sales Director – Endoscopy – Pulmonary/GI

Position Summary
Responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the sales activities for Ambu Endoscopy (Pulmonary and GI) products, including ICU/Critical Care, Anesthesia, Thoracic surgery, interventional pulmonology, and Emergency Department. The goal is to consistently achieve sales and expense budgets within the assigned regional territory. Products not responsible for include: ENT/URO, Core products, EMS, and PMD lines.
Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed 100% of your Regional Sales Plan.
- Build a successful region by inspiring, motivating, supporting, and managing sales representatives, including sales training and planning.
- Work with HR to recruit, maintain, and if necessary, terminate personnel in your region.
- Maintain high communication levels with Endoscopy Sales Management, ASD, CSO, HR, and other support teams.
- Utilize Health Economics tools effectively to maximize team performance for new customers.
- Maximize hospital relationships by engaging with stakeholders such as Administration, clinical staff, supply chain, infection prevention, risk management, BioMed, and Sterile Processing to promote single-use products and the 'Why Ambu' message.
- Manage sales expenses within the budget set by corporate management.
- Provide regular reports, including monthly forecasts, demand planning, sample tracking, weekly activities, and pipeline updates.
- Keep the sales pipeline robust and aligned with the sales plan.
- Forecast accurately and update CRM regularly.
- Present quarterly business reviews to management.
- Implement sales strategies to ensure full regional coverage and sales objectives achievement.
- Communicate regularly with distribution partners, sales, and other departments to meet objectives and resolve issues.
- Investigate and report on any non-conforming processes or components and their impact on products.
- Stay informed on industry developments by reviewing technical publications and abstracts.
Additional Responsibilities
- Travel extensively, with 70%+ overnight stays.
- Engage with clients and company personnel via written and verbal communication.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM systems like Salesforce.
- Complete essential reports on forecasts, training calendars, and sales performance.

Travel
- 70%+ overnight travel required.
Qualifications / Experience
- Minimum five (5) years of medical device sales experience, preferably in anesthesia and critical care.
- Previous sales management experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license in good standing.
