Job Title

Regional Sales Director – Endoscopy – Pulmonary/GI

Reports To

Area Sales Director, Sales – Endoscopy

Position Summary

Responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the sales activities for Ambu Endoscopy (Pulmonary and GI) products, including ICU/Critical Care, Anesthesia, Thoracic surgery, interventional pulmonology, and Emergency Department. The goal is to consistently achieve sales and expense budgets within the assigned regional territory. Products not responsible for include: ENT/URO, Core products, EMS, and PMD lines.

Responsibilities
  1. Meet or exceed 100% of your Regional Sales Plan.
  2. Build a successful region by inspiring, motivating, supporting, and managing sales representatives, including sales training and planning.
  3. Work with HR to recruit, maintain, and if necessary, terminate personnel in your region.
  4. Maintain high communication levels with Endoscopy Sales Management, ASD, CSO, HR, and other support teams.
  5. Utilize Health Economics tools effectively to maximize team performance for new customers.
  6. Maximize hospital relationships by engaging with stakeholders such as Administration, clinical staff, supply chain, infection prevention, risk management, BioMed, and Sterile Processing to promote single-use products and the 'Why Ambu' message.
  7. Manage sales expenses within the budget set by corporate management.
  8. Provide regular reports, including monthly forecasts, demand planning, sample tracking, weekly activities, and pipeline updates.
  9. Keep the sales pipeline robust and aligned with the sales plan.
  10. Forecast accurately and update CRM regularly.
  11. Present quarterly business reviews to management.
  12. Implement sales strategies to ensure full regional coverage and sales objectives achievement.
  13. Communicate regularly with distribution partners, sales, and other departments to meet objectives and resolve issues.
  14. Investigate and report on any non-conforming processes or components and their impact on products.
  15. Stay informed on industry developments by reviewing technical publications and abstracts.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Travel extensively, with 70%+ overnight stays.
  • Engage with clients and company personnel via written and verbal communication.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM systems like Salesforce.
  • Complete essential reports on forecasts, training calendars, and sales performance.
Performance Criteria
  • Manage and support your sales team effectively.
  • Provide excellent service to clients.
  • Maintain accurate and timely communication and documentation.
  • Operate within expense and compliance guidelines.
  • Lead with professionalism and uphold high personal standards.
Travel
  • 70%+ overnight travel required.
Qualifications / Experience
  • Minimum five (5) years of medical device sales experience, preferably in anesthesia and critical care.
  • Previous sales management experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing.
