Job summary

ElectriCom, a utility construction company, seeks a Safety Specialist to support and coordinate safety programs with the Senior Safety & Risk Manager. This remote/hybrid role requires local presence in Florence, TX, and travel across Texas to ensure regulatory compliance and a strong safety culture.

You will conduct site audits, training, incident investigations, and communication of safety information to leadership, while partnering with management to sustain a proactive safety environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction safety experience.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Ability to lead safety initiatives and trainings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site safety audits and OSHA compliance reviews.
• Perform job hazard analyses and safety observations.
• Coordinate and deliver safety training programs with leadership.

Keyresponsibilitiesinclude,butarenotlimitedto,conductingjobsitesafetyaudits,performingjobhazardanalyses,coordinating,anddeliveringsafetytrainingprogramsinpartnershipwiththeSeniorSafety&RiskManager,leadingandparticipatinginincidentinvestigations,andeffectivelycommunicatingsafety-relatedinformationacrosstheorganization.Weareseekingadedicated,self-motivated,andhighlyorganizedprofessionalwithconstructionindustryexperienceandastrongbackgroundinworkplacesafety.

ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS

• Maintaincomprehensive,up-to-dateknowledgeofOSHA,DOT,andotherapplicablefederal,state,andlocalregulationsgoverningsafetyandhealthwithintheutilityconstructionindustry.
• Performthoroughandtimelyjobsitesafetyobservationsandaudits,ensuringidentifiedhazardsandsafetyconcernsareappropriatelyaddressedandresolved.
• ConductandfacilitateemployeesafetytrainingonOSHA-requiredtopicsandothercompanysafetyinitiatives.
• PartnerwiththeSeniorSafety&RiskManagertoconductincidentandinjuryinvestigations,identifyrootcauses,andeffectivelycommunicatefindingsandcorrectiveactions.
• Coordinateandcommunicateeffectivelywithoperationalleadershipregardingsafetyobservations,trends,concerns,incidents,andcorrectiveactions.
• CollaborateregularlywiththeSeniorSafety&RiskManager,operationalleadership,andemployeestosupporttheElectriComsafetyprogramandpromoteapositive,proactivesafetyculture.
• Demonstrateexperiencedeveloping,implementing,andsustainingcompany-widesafetyinitiativesthatstrengthenemployeeengagementandfosteracultureofsafety.
• Plan,develop,andexecuteworkactivitieswithguidanceanddirectionfromtheSeniorSafety&RiskManager.
• Workindependentlywhileexercisingsoundjudgmentandmaintainingaccountabilityforassignedresponsibilities.

• Associate'sorBachelor'sdegreeinOccupationalSafety,ConstructionManagement,orarelatedfieldpreferred.
