Job summary

McKee Utility Contractors is hiring a Regional Safety Manager to support an ongoing project in San Marcos, TX. You will partner with the Corporate Safety Director to advance the safety program, conduct daily project inspections, and ensure CFR 1926 compliance across site activities.

Ideal candidates have CHST and OSHA 500, 5+ years in heavy civil construction safety, and bilingual English/Spanish abilities.

Qualifications

• Min 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction safety.
• Experience with excavation/trenches, shoring, confined space, fall protection, rigging, traffic control, site safety plans.
• Bilingual English/Spanish encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Corporate Safety Director in managing the existing safety program.
• Perform daily inspections of projects in the assigned division to ensure compliance with CFR 1926 standards.
• Assist Division Managers and Operations Managers in safety matters such as developing site-specific safety plans and emergency action plans.
• Prepare and submit a weekly safety report to the Corporate Safety Director and Division Manager outlining safety-related issues.
• Document incidents and injuries and take appropriate action under corporate case management systems.
• Assist in training, orientation and coaching of employees.

• Document and all incidents and/or injuries and take appropriate action under the direction and in accordance with corporate case management system(s).

• Applicants shall have a minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction safety.
• Experience/education/understanding of excavation/trenches, shoring, confined space, fall protection, rigging, traffic control, and site safety plans.
• Candidates that are bilingual and fluent in both English and Spanish are encouraged to apply.
