Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a Regional Safety Engineer to support AWS Data Center Planning and Delivery (DCPD).

You will partner with Real Estate, Due Diligence, Permitting, Energy, and Construction teams to advance H&S goals and safety culture across projects in the Americas, EMEA, or APAC/China. This role is field-based, with site visits, contractor coordination, and a focus on leadership, planning, and continuous improvement of safety programs within AWS infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experience.
• 6+ years of health and safety experience in construction or industrial environments.
• 3+ years of program requirements definition and data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Deploy health and safety elements across DCPD programs including leadership, planning, and operational controls.
• Coordinate with DCPD managers to prioritize H&S in planning and execution across all project phases.
• Audit projects against safety processes, monitor compliance of contractors and AWS deployment vendors.
• Host site H&S kickoff sessions and review Construction Safety Management Plans with GC and vendors.
• Use data and narratives to drive improvements and support governance programs.
