Job summary

OPmobility is seeking a Regional Purchasing Commodity Professional to drive regional commodity strategies within a dynamic supply chain environment in the United States. You will manage RFQ plans, rate cards, and supplier performance while coordinating with carriers, warehouses, and internal stakeholders across multiple regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
• Approximately 8 years of related experience on the commercial side of supply chain.
• Experience on the operational side of supply chain is preferred.
• Strong market knowledge in at least one commodity area (road, sea, air, customs brokerage, warehousing, SILS, or packaging).
• Proven track record of working directly with carriers, warehouse providers, freight forwarders, and/or brokers.
• Proactive, accountable, and motivated to contribute to business results and continuous improvement.
• Disciplined and structured approach with leadership ability to apply purchasing strategies.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience using purchasing tools; familiarity with Tempo, SAP, and TenderEasy is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute regional commodity strategies, including RFQ plans, purchasing tools, standards, and sourcing approaches.
• Maintain and update rate cards for new lanes, volumes, frequencies, itineraries, seaports, and airports.
• Lead monthly performance reviews for each Business Group related to the assigned commodity.
• Manage the supplier panel through operational reviews, business reviews, and continuous supplier development.
• Set up new providers in Tempo and SAP with accurate supplier data and compliance.
• Conduct Gemba visits with providers and plant teams to support alignment and identify opportunities.
• Ensure strong management of contracts, MSAs, legal topics, and compliance for the commodity.
• Drive continuous improvement including standardizing invoicing across Business Groups.
• Provide operational support to plant teams by improving visibility and service levels.
• Manage tenders using Tempo and TenderEasy.
