Job summary

Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas (CHC/SEK) is seeking an RN to join our in-clinic care team. The nurse will perform triage, immunizations, and assist with procedures, while supervising Medical Assistants and ensuring continuity of care.

Responsibilities include patient rooming, discharge summaries, phlebotomy, EKGs, and maintaining HIPAA-compliant records. A valid RN license in the state and BLS certification are required with 6 months to obtain BLS if not current.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid RN license in the state where nursing practice will occur or multistate license in nurse’s resident state.
• Two years nursing experience in an outpatient clinic, preferred.
• Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association within six (6) months from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Patient Rooming: Oversee rooming of patients with care team.
• Patient Care: Support providers in clinic, including injections, phlebotomy, EKGs and in-house labs.
• Patient Discharge: Perform patient summary visit discharge and educate on meds and orders.
• Triage and Clinical Management: Collaborate with care team and monitor scheduling for patient flow.
• Other Clinical Duties: Manage inventory, sterilize instruments, transport specimens and assist in emergencies.
