You want to feel recognized at work. Your performance will be reviewed annually, and your compensation will be designed to motivate and reward the value that you provide. You’ll receive a competitive salary, bonuses and benefits. Your company-funded retirement contribution will factor in salary and variable pay, including bonuses.

“I can lead a full life.”

You bring unique goals and interests to your job and your life. • Access on-demand professional development resources that allow you to hone existing skills and learn new ones.
“I can succeed as a Regional Retirement Plan Counselor at Capital Group.”

As a Regional Retirement Plan Counselor (RRPC), you are a key member of a Retirement Plan (RP) Territory Team, advancing retirement plan growth within a defined territory in support of North American Client Group (NACG) goals. Partnering closely with Retirement Plan Consultants (RPCs), Divisional RPCs (DRPCs), Internal RPCs (IRPCs), and other stakeholders, you help deliver coordinated, consultative coverage to financial advisors. You are accountable for assigned offices and contribute to sales results, plan activity, and opportunity development through primarily virtual engagement and targeted in‑person interactions. Working within an integrated team model, you support territory planning, align messaging and priorities, and deliver research‑driven guidance on Capital Group retirement and investment solutions to help advisors better serve plan sponsors and participants.

“I am the person Capital Group is looking for”

You bring strong retirement plan expertise and apply it effectively in a team‑based coverage model to help advisors grow their practices. You demonstrate a strong understanding of investment selection, asset allocation, and portfolio construction, and can apply these concepts to retirement plan discussions in an advisor‑facing environment. You have a solid working knowledge of retirement plan terminology and the retirement marketplace, including ERISA requirements and advisor‑sold investment‑only (IO) platforms. You are comfortable using technology to support analysis, virtual meetings, web conferences, and advisor presentations. You have strong communication, relationship‑building, and consultative selling skills, and can engage advisors through phone, video, web, and in‑person meetings based on coverage strategy and advisor preference. You are highly collaborative and work effectively with RPCs, DRPCs, IRPCs, and other partners to deliver consistent messaging and coordinated execution across the territory.

  • You hold a bachelor’s degree; preferred preference for one or more professional designations: AIF, AIFA, PPC, CIMA, CFA (or progress toward designation).
  • You must hold a SIE, Series 7, and Series 63/65 or 66.

Southern California Base Salary Range: $111,920- $179,072

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings. You can learn more about our compensation and benefits here. * Temporary positions in the United States are excluded from the above mentioned compensation and benefit plans.
