Job summary

Guitar Center is seeking a Repair Tech Area Specialist to provide expert repair and certification training across stores in a defined region. You will coach other technicians, ensure high standards of craftsmanship, and drive positive customer experiences while promoting repair services and merchandise.

You will travel to multiple locations, support field operations, and assist in maintaining store equipment and completing warranty repairs. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of repair tech experience.
• 1+ year of professional customer service experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid state driver's license and automotive insurance.
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers to upsell repair services and merchandise and a positive customer experience.
• Service customer-owned instruments with a high level of craftsmanship.
• Travel to stores within a specific geographical region to provide certification and skills training.
• Evaluate store performance and recommend improvements to Repair Support.
• Field support calls/emails from Support Techs in assigned areas.
• Maintain store owned gear and complete warranty repair work.
• Additional duties as assigned.
