Job summary

Horrocks in Tampa, FL is seeking a Regional Lead - Rail Engineer to guide the rail practice across regions in the United States. You will provide technical leadership, manage client relationships, and oversee delivery of rail projects regionally.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in rail/transport engineering, a PE license, and proven leadership, mentoring staff, and business development experience. This role requires travel and a commitment to quality and collaboration.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
PE license required.
Minimum of 10 years of relevant rail/transit engineering experience.
Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary teams.
Strong client relationship management and business development capabilities.

Responsibilities

Provide regional leadership for railroad projects and support strategic growth initiatives within the assigned region.
Lead planning, design, and delivery of rail projects including tracks, terminals, yards, and mainlines.
Coordinate with railroad companies for DOT and municipal projects involving crossings and structures.
Serve as senior technical advisor for rail design and related infrastructure.
Mentor engineers and staff across multiple offices and projects.
Support staffing strategies and resource planning with project managers.
Ensure QA/QC compliance across project development and delivery.
