Job summary

Peckham seeks a Regional Quality Control Manager to lead QC personnel, programs, and facilities across the region in the pursuit of excellence. You will translate technical standards into documented, defensible outcomes that support DOT acceptance, project delivery, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include ensuring all required lab testing is completed on schedule, delivering accurate test results for DOT and project acceptance, and developing mix designs that meet specifications

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 3+ years of Quality Control experience in HMA, aggregate, or concrete production.
• 2+ years supervisory or team lead experience.
• Must have or obtain QCT Certification from NYSDOT orNTTC accredited program within 12 months of hire.
• Hands-on experience in manual labor or field construction environments.
• Comfort operating mechanical tools, equipment, and machinery.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Proficient in English literacy and computational math; strong written and verbal communication.
• Computer literate—MS Word, Excel, and email.
• Ability to work irregular hours including evenings, overnights, weekends as project needs.
• Legal right to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Lead QC personnel, programs, and facilities across the region.
• Ensure 100% of required lab testing is completed on schedule and in full compliance.
• Deliver accurate aggregate and asphalt test results for DOT acceptance and project delivery.
• Produce reliable pavement quality data to enable real-time mix adjustments.
• Develop and validate mix designs meeting specifications and reduce rework.
• Deliver complete, accurate laboratory reports on time with zero deficiencies.
• Maintain calibrated regional lab equipment and train juniors in calibration protocols.
• Maintain an audit-ready record of QC testing and calibration activities.
• Coordinate with DOT personnel, inspectors, plant operators, and sales to avoid delays.
• Build and sustain a high-performing regional QC team.
