Job summary

Peckham Industries is seeking a Regional Quality Control Manager to lead QC personnel and facilities across the region, ensuring every ton of material meets specifications and every test is defensible.

The role drives DOT acceptance, project delivery, and continuous improvement by translating standards into consistent, auditable outcomes and by maintaining zero-deficiency documentation for audits and submissions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of quality control experience in HMA, aggregate, or concrete production.
• 2+ years of supervisory or team lead experience.
• Must have or obtain QCT Certification from NYSDOT/NETTCP within 12 months of hire.
• Hands-on experience in manual labor or field construction environments.
• Comfort operating mechanical tools, equipment, and machinery.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Proficient in English literacy and computational math; strong communications.
• Computer literate—MS Word, Excel, and email.
• Ability to work irregular hours including evenings, overnights, and weekends as project requires.
• Legal right to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional QC personnel, programs, and facilities, aligning with technical standards.
• Ensure 100% lab testing across facilities and projects is completed per specifications.
• Provide accurate aggregate, asphalt mix tests and RAP analyses for production and client acceptance.
• Produce reliable pavement quality data to enable real-time mix adjustments and DOT documentation.
• Develop and validate mix designs that meet or exceed specifications to reduce rework.
• Deliver complete, accurate laboratory reports on time with zero defects for audits and DOT submissions.
• Maintain calibration, upkeep, and operation of regional lab equipment; train staff.
• Build a complete audit-ready record of QC testing and calibration across the region.
• Serve as primary QC liaison for DOT personnel, inspectors, and stakeholders.
• Recruit and develop technicians to keep facilities at full testing capacity.
