Primary Responsibilities

The Promotions Manager supports business development within the independent trade by working cross-functionally with Sales, Merchandising Solutions, Supply Chain, and Suppliers/Brokers. The role involves developing and deploying timely, custom promotional programs that drive sales and inventory turns, tailored to meet the needs of Suppliers, Retailers, and KeHE teams within assigned regions. All actions should align with KeHE’s Mission, Vision, and Values.

Essential Functions

  • Develop and grow promotional strategies to meet supplier goals and drive growth.
  • Oversee multi-regional or national promotional programs.
  • Collaborate with team members for efficiency and strategic consistency.
  • Utilize tools to create and improve selling strategies.
  • Evaluate programs continuously for success and opportunities.
  • Coordinate with Category Management on supplier initiatives.
  • Support retailer-specific promotional opportunities.
  • Actively pursue new retail customers for promotions.
  • Maintain communication with Sales, Suppliers, Brokers, and Supply Chain for program success.
  • Build relationships with sales teams to enhance promotional activities.
  • Work with Supply Chain to maintain inventory health and reduce waste.
  • Support new retailer placement and promotional requests.
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives to expand knowledge of KeHE operations.
  • Travel for regional sales meetings, trade shows, and business support.

Minimum Requirements and Skills

  • Effective communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-management, goal setting, and time management skills.
  • Team-oriented with collaborative mindset.
  • Adaptability to changing demands.
  • Project management experience.
  • Proven success in developing and launching programs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Power BI.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
  • At least three years of experience with distributors, manufacturers, and retailers in the independent channel.
