Your Job

The Georgia-Pacific Corrugated Engineering Team is seeking a Regional Project Manager. This position will lead capital and expense projects across the division including the corrugated box, corrugated sheets, mailers, and digital printing plants. The ideal candidate is driven by the desire to grow their project leadership skills with increasing responsibility by delivering superior project results for our manufacturing and business partners.

This position is home-based with up to 75% travel to support projects in the US.

Our Team
  • Organize and lead project teams in all phases from conceptualization through operational performance testing, using the Georgia-Pacific Business Process for project work.
  • Leverage your engineering skills and experience directly on assigned projects.
  • Partner and foster relationships with Manufacturing staff, Business teams, and Technology experts to deliver results on a portfolio of projects.
  • Communicate project status transparently and actively manage budgets, schedules, and risks.
  • Lead decision-making to evaluate project alternatives, select equipment and vendors, and establish effective contracting strategies.
  • Provide field support during construction and startup phases.
  • Safely deliver project goals including product quality, production rates, schedule, cost, and safety performance for capital and expense projects.
What You Will Do
  • Organize and lead project teams from conceptualization through operational testing, using Georgia-Pacific’s project process.
  • Apply your engineering expertise on assigned projects.
  • Build partnerships with Manufacturing, Business, and Technology teams to achieve project results.
  • Maintain transparent communication on project status, budgets, schedules, and risks.
  • Evaluate project options, select vendors, and determine contracting strategies.
  • Support construction and startup activities on-site.
  • Ensure safety, quality, production, schedule, and cost objectives are met.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Experience managing capital and expense projects in paper, forest products, or heavy manufacturing industries.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, contractors, and multiple projects.
  • Knowledge of corrugated manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75%.
  • Availability to work nights and weekends during project phases.
What Will Put You Ahead
  • Experience managing projects over $5MM in the corrugated industry.
  • 5+ years of project management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • Experience leading project teams with internal and external resources.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk Construction Cloud/Build, EcoSys, and MP2 software.
  • PMP certification.

Salary range: $120k - $170k per year, with variable pay options. Compensation depends on experience, skills, and location.
