Overview

Regional Program Lead (Remote)


Cognizant is looking to hire an experienced Regional Program Lead to oversee all field operations within a specific geographical region, ensuring all activities align with company goals and standards.


Work model: Remote

Responsibilities


  • Oversee all field operations within a specific geographical region, ensuring all activities align with company goals and standards.

  • Manage daily field operations, including network installation, maintenance, and repair, to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) for efficiency, quality, and safety in coordination with the Vendor leads / POCs.

  • Assist / work in the vendor operations / POC to recruit, train, and lead a team of field technicians and supervisors. Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and development.

  • Serve as the main point of contact for regional clients, internal departments (e.g., engineering, sales), and external partners.

  • Develop and manage the regional budget, allocating resources for staffing, equipment, and projects to ensure cost-effectiveness.

  • Act as the escalation point for complex technical and operational issues, finding solutions to minimize service disruption and improve customer satisfaction.

  • Ensure all regional operations comply with company safety protocols and local, state, and national regulations.



Qualifications and Skills


  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage large teams in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

  • Strong understanding of telecommunications networks, including fiber optic, wireless, and broadband technologies.

  • Extensive experience in field operations management, including logistics, resource planning, and quality control.

  • Knowledge of budgeting, financial reporting, and cost management.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members, clients, and senior management.

  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills to resolve complex operational and technical challenges.

  • Understanding of different types of risks and their impact on Field Operations-related projects involving multiple vendors.

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Telecommunications, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related technical discipline. A master’s degree is a plus.

  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role within field operations.

  • In-depth knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure, field service management software, and industry best practices.

Remuneration and Timing

Salary and Other Compensation:


The annual salary for this position is between $90,000.00 - $103,000.00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.


This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
