Westlake seeks a Lead for Epoxy Plant Process Safety Management (PSM) to develop and implement goals, standards, and expectations across the Epoxy division in North America. This executive role drives the Vision of Zero and coordinates cross-functional teams to mitigate process risks.
The ideal candidate holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering with 5–8 years PSM experience, excellent leadership, and strong regulatory knowledge to guide safe operations in a dynamic industrial setting.

Function as lead role for Westlake Epoxy plant’s Process Safety management (PSM) program, including development and implementation of goals, standards, and expectations for the PSM program.
May include, but are not limited to, the following:
B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering or similar technical degree with at least 5-8 years of relevant PSM experience, preferably in a chemical/petrochemical/refinery environment.
Extensive experience with process safety risk assessment tools and regulatory compliance.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence teams and drive positive change.
Comfortable working in a dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities and making sound decisions.
Proficient with business systems, data management tools, and process safety technologies.
This job is performed mainly in a control room or office setting. Physical presence and predictable attendance required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, climb, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. This job requires response to audible emergency alarms inside of the plant. Employee must be able to evacuate when required.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as normally based in an office. Some of the work may be required in the operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc. May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and elevators. Travel including air travel or auto travel up to 25%.
