Injury Prevention Specialist Support and Development

Responsibilities

As an Early Intervention Specialist, you will assess employee health and develop individualized improvement plans through workplace observations and interventions:

• Assess body mechanics, identify risks, and create mitigation plans.
• Document treatments efficiently, incorporating feedback for improvement.
• Understand OSHA recordkeeping rules related to first aid (29 CFR 1904.7).
• Address discomfort through education and coaching to prevent injuries.
• Assist with medical surveillance testing and clinic operations.
• Provide health education and training on wellness and disease prevention.

The duties listed are not exhaustive; additional tasks may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Athletic Training or related field.
• Other qualified disciplines include: Associate’s in PTA with licensure, Bachelor’s in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or Allied Health, or 2 years military healthcare experience.
• Relevant license or certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and AED certification.
• BOC certification or eligibility preferred.
