Job summary

SSM Health in Madison, Wisconsin seeks the Regional Associate Medical Director for Foot and Ankle Surgery and Podiatry to lead clinical alignment, quality, access, and operational consistency across the Wisconsin Region. This role partners with the Regional Clinical Program Medical Director for Musculoskeletal Services and supports orthopedic foot and ankle and podiatric teams.

Qualifications

• MD, DO, or DPM from an accredited program.
• Board certification or eligibility in orthopedic surgery with foot and ankle fellowship training.
• Active Wisconsin medical license and active medical staff membership where required.
• Demonstrated physician leadership, quality improvement, or administrative experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as regional physician leader for foot and ankle surgery and podiatry.
• Partner with clinical and operational leadership to set regional priorities and represent the specialty in quality and access forums.
• Maintain regular regional meetings and ensure clear communication across sites.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, provider development, and performance input.
