Position Overview:

The American Red Cross is seeking a Regional Philanthropy Officer - Individual Giving to work in the San Antonio market.

What You Need to Know:

We are looking for a Regional Philanthropy Officer who will meet fundraising goals and objectives, connecting with individual donors to serve our mission. In this role, you will identify, engage, cultivate, solicit, and steward current and prospective regional donors to expand their support for the American Red Cross.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute regional strategies for donor retention, growth, and recapture, working collaboratively with other departments and fundraising staff.
• Solicit assigned donor portfolios through face-to-face visits and virtual meetings, preparing personalized materials.
• Meet personal annual revenue targets by working with an assigned portfolio of donors and prospects.
• Implement programs to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors at the $5,000 level or higher, maximizing revenue.
• Maintain donor records in Salesforce.
• Assist donors in creating meaningful contributions to the American Red Cross.
• This position involves a mix of remote work, in-person meetings, and occasional team meetings at the local office.
• Participate in disaster relief fundraising projects as appropriate.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with at least five years of sales or fundraising experience.
• Proven success in developing donor retention and growth strategies, with experience in complex requests.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; familiarity with MS Office and fundraising database systems.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse constituencies and travel frequently within the region.

Preferred Skills:

Excellent interpersonal skills, commitment to the cause, adaptability, and experience with the San Antonio funding community are highly desirable.
