Job summary

The GIANT Company in Staunton, VA is seeking a Pharmacist to join our team. You will enter orders, supervise staff, handle inventory, verify prescriptions, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, clarifying prescriptions by phone or in person, preparing medications, and maintaining accurate records as assigned by the Department Manager. A Pharmacy degree and active dispensing license are required, with immunization authority

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, communicate and understand to perform duties and comply with policies.
• Must complete 60-day introductory period.
• Must be licensed to dispense in the state(s) you will be working.
• Must be authorized to immunize.
• Must meet ergonomic and physical requirements and basic physical scores.
• Must be able to operate or learn to use the equipment and tools used in this job.
• Must perform all job functions safely.
• Must meet company performance standards.
• Must wear proper assigned clothes and shoes.
• Must have 1 year of work experience or technical training.
• Must have keyboarding skills.

Responsibilities

• Enter orders, schedule work/production, supervise and train team members, receive/store/stock items, check dates, and complete department tasks as needed.
• Wait on customers, answer telephone calls, and make calls to clarify prescriptions.
• Fill prescriptions by counting pills, measuring liquids, and compounding ingredients.
• Perform record-keeping functions as assigned by Department Manager.
