Job summary

The role covers regional environmental compliance, supports plant processes to achieve safety, environmental, reliability, availability, and cost objectives for NextEra Energy Solar and Energy Storage, with occasional out-of-state travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or a related field.
• Knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations.
• Familiarity with local flora, fauna, and habitats.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in analysis, problem-solving, compliance, leadership, and process/project management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Environmental Maintenance & Performance Optimization—optimize site environmental maintenance and performance.
• Compliance Management—oversee SPCC/FRP requirements and liaise with agencies.
• Process Standardization & Leadership—standardize processes and lead staff development.
• Transition from Construction to Operations—close out permits and document compliance.
• Operational Support—support EMS execution, audits, and regional environmental program.
