Role Summary

The Regional Payroll Manager (US/CA) will oversee all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely payments for employees in the United States and Canada. You will collaborate with various departments to gather and validate payroll information, resolve discrepancies, and provide exceptional service to employees. Responsibilities include designing and improving processes, developing operating procedures, enhancing data integrity, leveraging technologies for efficiency, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws. The role requires managing an organization and being hands-on to complete tasks. You will lead the payroll team and process payroll using ADP GlobalView, Celergo, Workday HRIS, UKG Kronos, and other vendors.

Requirements
  • Build and manage the regional payroll team, setting goals and managing performance.
  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for all Copeland employees in the US and Canada.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Administer and maintain payroll systems, ensure data integrity, and implement upgrades.
  • Support global work plans to ensure compliance, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Stay updated on industry trends in payroll services, technology, and service delivery, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Keep current on payroll regulations, tax laws, and industry best practices, implementing necessary changes.
  • Maintain confidentiality and data security standards for payroll information.
  • Participate actively in internal and external audits.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
  • 8+ years of payroll management experience in the US and Canada, including 5+ years leading a team.
  • Experience supporting full cycle payroll for 3,000+ employees across various US states and Canada.
  • Deep knowledge of global payroll processes, labor laws, taxation, and compliance.
  • Proven leadership skills in achieving results.
  • Proficiency with payroll and time tracking systems like Workday, ADP GlobalView, Celergo, UKG Kronos, and experience with payroll system implementation and management.
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex topics to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to align technology solutions with business priorities.
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize and follow up effectively.
  • High integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience developing payroll processes, procedures, and conducting SOX audits.
