The County of Santa Clara’s Parks and Recreation Department seeks a Parks Program Coordinator for the Outdoor Recreation Program to design, develop, coordinate, and implement outdoor recreation classes, programs, events, and community outreach across county parks.

The role oversees budgeting for program needs, partners with volunteers and staff, and represents the department at community events while ensuring policy compliance and safety standards.

Qualificações

• Requires Bachelor’s degree and two years coordinating or leading programs, projects, or planning large-scale events.
• One year of the required experience must be in the field of the specialized program(s).

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate and implement outdoor recreation programs, activities, and events.
• Assist in planning, organizing, and facilitating park operations and maintenance.
• Collaborate with volunteers, staff, contractors, licensees, and partners to schedule programs and events.
• Plan, evaluate, and develop recommendations to improve park programs and community outreach.
• Prepare correspondence and reports related to departmental programs and budget considerations.
• Gathers, maintains data for grant writing, reporting, and budget preparations.
• Supervises park visitor centers, staff, and volunteers as needed.
