Oregon Health Authority is seeking a Regional Outreach Coordinator for the Central Oregon region. In this two-year limited duration hybrid role, you will build relationships with community partners, help Oregonians access the Oregon Health Plan, and coordinate outreach across Crook, Deschutes, and Jefferson Counties.

You will organize sessions, provide technical assistance, monitor activities, and travel regionally to engage with diverse communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Administration or related field and two years of program coordination experience; or five years of equivalent experience.
• Experience with health care programs, Medicaid or Oregon Health Plan preferred.
• Ability to travel regionally (Central Oregon) and engage with diverse communities.
• Strong communication, partnership-building, and project-management skills.

A major focus of this position is community engagement and program coordination. You will organize and facilitate informational sessions, trainings, community forums, and presentations on OHP, health care access, Social Determinants of Health, Medicaid policy, and other health-related topics. You will provide technical assistance to community partners, monitor grant activities and outcomes, help identify and address challenges, and coordinate outreach efforts to ensure communities have access to effective services. You will also represent OHA with community leaders, health care providers, Coordinated Care Organizations, Federally Qualified Health Centers, schools, local governments, and other stakeholders. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with communities, developing partnerships, solving problems, and serving as a trusted representative of a public health program.
