Job summary

AMDA College of the Performing Arts, based in Chicago, seeks a full-time Outreach Advisor to drive outreach initiatives, manage events, and recruit prospective students. You will coordinate regional festivals, staff auditions, and school visits while collaborating with the Admissions team.

The role requires travel, a bachelor's degree, and strong sales, copywriting, and communication skills to promote AMDA programs and scholarships effectively.

Qualifications

• Excellent sales and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Zoom.
• Experience with Talisma and Citrix is preferred.
• Strong copywriting skills.
• Understanding of higher education marketing practices.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and follow-up skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, work independently and collaboratively, and perform effectively under pressure.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by the position.
• Additional language proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and attend outreach/recruiting events (regional, state, national thespian festivals, high school visits, college fairs, etc.).
• Staff and conduct regional auditions and compile audition paperwork and statistics.
• Work with the Director of Outreach on reporting and data analysis.
• Liaise with high schools, guidance counselors, drama teachers, and students nationally and internationally.
• Contribute copywriting to AMDA's external messaging and branding for outreach communications.
• Meet with drama teachers and school officials to deliver marketing materials and presentations.
• Organize and execute strategic outreach initiatives domestically and internationally.
• Travel extensively within the region and nationally/internationally as needed.
