Job summary

Bradsby Group is seeking a Regional Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operations across three RNG plants in Wisconsin's Green Bay area and one plant in Plains, Kansas. The role reports to the Director of Operations and collaborates with the Operations and Operations Support teams to drive safe, efficient performance.

You will lead operator development, manage P&L, perform data analysis, support continuous improvement, troubleshoot, and evaluate technology and economics.

Qualifications

  • Ten (10) years of increasing responsibility in industrial settings, including at least five (5) years in plant management or supervisory roles.
  • Willingness to relocate to Wisconsin if not already in the region.
  • Expertise in SCADA and control system operations and management.
  • Expertise in CMMS systems, ideally MaintainX.
  • Expertise in the MS Office suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Project.
  • Willingness to travel 1–2 weeks per month to sites within the manager's responsibility and occasionally to other regions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage safety, compliance, operations, maintenance, and operating costs for designated sites.
  • Supervise and develop site employees with a coaching and empowerment approach.
  • Resolve daily bottlenecks, provide tools/resources, and remove administrative friction for safe, efficient plant operations.
  • Cultivate a transparent safety and regulatory compliance culture.
  • Analyze operating performance, lead root cause analysis and process improvements with operator insights and data.
  • Assist in developing analyses of alternative approaches to maximize RNG production and reduce costs.
  • Lead maintenance work analyses to optimize quality and cost, deciding in-house vs. outsourcing.
  • Develop and review scopes of work for maintenance contractors for complex activities.
  • Develop and review standard operating procedures with operators to ensure consistent execution.
  • Interface with utility, farm and vendor partners to support plant performance.
  • Ensure compliance with site PSM requirements, MOC, PSSRs, documentation reviews, and mechanical integrity programs.
  • Support procurement activities regionally and help develop regional procurement strategy.
  • Manage spend within the annual budget and assist in forecasting maintenance and operations spending.

  • Willingness to travel as needed to sites within the Manager's set of responsible sites as well as occasionally to other regions. Total travel is expected to be 1-2 weeks per month
Additional Desired Experience And Qualifications
  • Direct experience in RNG plant management (Open to Wastewater Plant experience or Industrial Plant experience)
  • Electrical and instrumentation/controls experience
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in engineering, preferably mechanical or electrical
  • Lean Six Sigma certificationProcess Safety Management (PSM) experience
Responsibilities
  • Manage the safety, compliance, operations, maintenance, and operating costs of certain sites that are designated as being in the Manager's set of responsible sites
  • Supervise and manage the activities, performance, development and conduct of the employees at each site in a style of coaching and empowerment
  • Actively support operators by resolving daily bottlenecks, providing necessary tools and resources, and removing administrative friction so the team can focus on safe efficient plant operations
  • Cultivate a transparent safety and regulatory compliance culture
  • Analyze operating performance of each RNG facility, lead root cause analysis and process improvements by actively listening to operators' insights, valuing field experience alongside engineering data
  • Help develop and conduct analyses of alternative approaches to maximize RNG production and reduce operating costs
  • Lead the analysis of maintenance work to optimize quality and cost, including which tasks to complete in-house vs. outsourcing to contractors
  • Lead the evaluation, selection and development of scopes of work for maintenance contractors for complex activities such as digester cleanouts and scrubbing media changeouts
  • Develop and review standard operating procedures with the operators to ensure consistency in work execution
  • Interface with utility, farm and vendor partners to support plant performance
  • Ensure compliance with site PSM requirements, including participation in Management of Change (MOC), Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSRs), documentation reviews, and site mechanical integrity programs
  • Support procurement activities for sites in the region and continue to develop regional procurement strategy with lead operators
  • Manage spend within annual budget. Support creation of annual budgets by forecasting maintenance and operations spending
