Job Description: Job Description The Regional Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in orchestrating the activities of programs, services, and departments within their assigned area, with a primary emphasis on patient services at the designated Colorado Physician Partners clinics. This role involves providing both leadership and management support to physicians and staff and requires close collaboration with other key health system leaders to implement strategic initiatives within the specified regions. Additionally, this position is responsible for partnering with physician leadership and management to uphold clinical service delivery systems that align with the health system's mission and meet clinical, service, regulatory, and financial objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Effective Leadership: Evaluate and ensure manager accountability for assigned practices. Assist in recruiting physicians and staff; develop new office sites. Plan efficient use of resources in assigned areas. Establish objectives aligned with departmental and organizational goals.
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to strategic and long-range planning for department success. Offer ideas for growth, profitability, and improving satisfaction and quality.
  • Finance Management: Develop and monitor annual budgets for practices. Regularly review variances to meet financial targets. Conduct detailed reviews of practices, including profit/loss and physician productivity. Coordinate billing activities with the Director of Revenue Cycle Services.
  • Practice Operations: Develop and update management policies and procedures. Ensure operational consistency and effectiveness. Direct day-to-day activities of group practices.
  • Human Resources Management: Manage recruitment, development, and supervision of practice leaders and team members. Evaluate and manage performance of practice managers. Maintain effective relationships with providers and key constituents.
  • Process Improvement: Lead and promote continuous quality improvement in quality, safety, and patient experience.
  • Patient Satisfaction and Team Member Engagement: Manage interactions to resolve patient satisfaction issues. Implement measurable improvements in patient satisfaction. Foster trust and engagement among team members.
  • EMR Project Coordination: Work with the EMR project manager on practice conversions and implementation.
  • Professional Development: Actively participate in professional groups and maintain industry knowledge. Support career development of practice managers.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • At least five years of experience in practice administration and personnel management in a similar environment.
  • At least five years working in a clinical or medical setting.
  • At least three years of clinical management experience.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare administration and management.
  • Familiar with administrative software for healthcare systems.
  • Proficiency in electronic practice and health record management systems.
  • Extensive experience in financial management.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable healthcare regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
