Position Summary

Assist the Regional Manager by managing the day-to-day operational aspects of the business. Plans, coordinates and directs daily operational activities in the region. Makes recommendations to improve productivity, performance, quality, and efficiency, as well as profitability of the region by implementing effective methods and strategies to obtain greater efficiency in both branch and regional operations.

Position Summary

Assist the Regional Manager by managing the day-to-day operational aspects of the business. Plans, coordinates and directs daily operational activities in the region. Makes recommendations to improve productivity, performance, quality, and efficiency, as well as profitability of the region by implementing effective methods and strategies to obtain greater efficiency in both branch and regional operations.

Essential Functions
  • Drive compliance with company policies and procedures and implements plans to accomplish goals defined in the annual plan and assigned as required.
  • Assist the Regional Manager on achieving annual expense, gross margin, profit, labor chargeability, customer response and staffing plans.
  • Responsible for successfully executing, controlling and managing product, repair and service deliveries to ensure that customer needs are met.
  • Work directly with Branch teams to improve on customer service, 5S projects, safety programs, retail operations, service and repair programs.
  • Assists Branch teams in hiring and maintaining productive staffs.
  • Identify resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities to improve operational systems, processes and best practices that ensure operational excellence under the direction of Regional Manager.
  • Track and resolve issues including customer complaints, by implementing formal problem-solving processes to bring them to resolution.
  • Maintains adherence to ISO Quality and Environmental Management policies and procedures. Recommends improvements to the systems.
  • Perform analytical functions on operational metric data and assess situations quickly to determine the most beneficial resolution to opportunities.
  • Must have the desire and ability to improve operations, optimize production, meet tight deadlines, satisfy customers and effectively manage staff and costs.
  • Work with all departments involved to facilitate communication and problem resolution to meet deadlines as needed and required to accomplish regional goals and objectives.
  • Makes routine, scheduled visits to Branch locations to aid with projects, work on efficiency and ensure we are meeting customer expectations.
Position Qualifications – Skills And Abilities
  • Wholesale distribution experience and knowledge with emphasis on multi-branch operational development and improvement.
  • Advanced understanding and demonstrated experience working with Distribution ERP and Light Manufacturing computer systems.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills, remain task focused and manage his/her time to meet predetermined deadlines.
  • Possess an elevated level of integrity.
  • Accept responsibility for his/her actions.
  • Accept constructive criticism without becoming defensive.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills from past projects and assignments.
  • Ability to grasp and understand business concepts and issues.
  • Working knowledge of budget development.
  • Proper listening, oral and written skills and command of the English language.
  • Able to deal with both company employees and outside people respectfully.
  • Understand the need and can make critical decisions while following company procedures.
  • Must possess a high degree of organization
  • Demonstrate ability to remain task focused and manages his/her time to meet predetermined deadlines.
Education:

Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or university) or equivalent industry experience

Experience:

Seven to ten years related experience (required).

Product Training, Management Skills, ISO Training, 5's, P&L Review, Smartsheet, Safety Training, P21, Tour-de-Force, Problem Solving Skills (5 Whys, fish bone decision analysis, 8 Step Problem Solving) and Mistake Proofing.
