Job summary

Aecon Concessions is hiring an Operations Manager in Mineral, VA. This role oversees financial and operational performance across assigned regions for nuclear-related infrastructure, ensuring safe, on-time project delivery and profitability.

You will lead regional teams, drive bid strategies, manage budgets, and coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and unions to optimize execution and stakeholder satisfaction.

Qualifications

• College or University degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related discipline.
• Extensive experience within Utility Contracting, Civil Construction, and Power/Electrical Infrastructure.
• Strong project management expertise with knowledge of underground, overhead distribution, civil, and electrical projects.
• Proven leadership with ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
• Experience managing P&L, budgets, forecasting, and financial performance of a business unit.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for the financial and operational performance of assigned regions, including business planning and profitability.
• Develop and execute bidding and pricing strategies to achieve revenue and margin targets; provide leadership aligning with objectives.
• Monitor regional performance and report financial results, risks, workload, and opportunities to senior leadership.
• Oversee project execution and resolve contractual, operational, and legal issues.
• Lead, develop, and mentor management teams, including succession and workforce planning.
• Approve expenditures, proposal pricing, and purchases within delegated authority.
• Manage regional budgets and prepare monthly financial performance reports.
• Build relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and unions; lead contract negotiations and stakeholder communications.
