Job summary

LVI Associates, a national surveying, engineering, and geospatial services firm, seeks an Area Operations Manager to lead operations across multiple offices, optimize performance, and ensure successful delivery of large projects.

This leadership role focuses on strategy development, staffing, budgeting, and client relationship management, with a strong emphasis on QA/QC and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive operations experience in surveying, engineering, geospatial services.
• Experience managing operations across multiple offices or business units.
• PLS and/or PE license preferred.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis skills.
• Proven leadership and staff development abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead operations across multiple offices within a region.
• Partner with senior leadership on operational strategies, workforce planning, and growth initiatives.
• Establish processes to improve efficiency, productivity, and performance.
• Oversee project staffing, resource allocation, and planning.
• Ensure QA/QC standards and compliance across teams.
• Review budgets, utilization, and operational metrics.
• Develop, mentor, and retain high-performing staff.
• Support business development and client relationships.
• Represent the organization with clients and stakeholders.
