Job description

As the Regional Operational Excellence Director, you will increase operational excellence across the Americas region to support plant performance in safety, quality, service, and productivity metrics. The leader will develop and implement strategies for performance management, process excellence, and work teams. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations for the Americas Automotive Refinish Team, you will lead a team of two direct reports and be involved in regional and lean programs, while developing manufacturing site resources for ownership.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead Hoshin planning, directly apply Lean principles to strategic plans, and develop processes and resources for plant lean initiatives.
  2. Set strategy for regional evolution and align personnel to a vision, mobilizing resources within a matrixed organization.
  3. Develop and oversee site continuous improvement initiatives.
  4. Engage hands-on in daily operations to promote engagement at all levels.
  5. Ensure sites adopt and embed best practices as defined within the framework.
  6. Measure and quantify the impact of improvements.
  7. Analyze strategic goals to identify projects that deliver tangible results across multiple sites.
  8. Support cultural change, main goals, and engagement through continuous improvement activities.
  9. Conduct site visits and travel approximately 20% of the time.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, supply chain, or related field is beneficial but not required.
  2. 10+ years of proven experience in continuous improvement, with demonstrated hands-on involvement.
  3. Experience leading Kaizen and Continuous Improvement projects in a Lean Manufacturing environment.
  4. Knowledge and application of Root Cause Analysis.
  5. Proven ability to initiate actions and create programs that lead to tangible improvements.
