Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Multi-Office Leader (Area Experience Leader) to oversee 4–6 offices, ensuring a consistently excellent client experience across locations. You’ll coach Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, balance strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, and drive performance through disciplined execution.

You’ll own office readiness, staffing, facilities, and daily operations, while aligning priorities to improve client outcomes and business results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years leading teams in a multi-unit retail/service/operations environment.
• Strong client-centric mindset with experience delivering consultative client experience.
• Proven ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable across locations.
• Track record of driving business and financial results while managing day-to-day operations.
• Experience leading through change and new process adoption.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment across multiple locations.
• Experience with facilities, staffing, or compliance oversight.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, esp. with client escalations.
• Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into action.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of the consultative client experience across 4–6 offices with consistent standards.
• Evaluate execution quality and client impact to reinforce strengths and address gaps.
• Drive adoption of new client experience processes, tools, and behaviors.
• Lead Tax Pros and Client Service Pros by setting clear expectations and coaching for performance.
• Provide coaching based on observed behaviors and outcomes to strengthen team execution.
• Identify patterns across offices and develop bench strength for leadership continuity.
• Own revenue, growth, and operational performance across offices.
• Monitor metrics, trends, and take actions to improve results and client retention.
• Ensure daily operations, staffing, labor, compliance, and SOPs are consistently executed.
• Oversee office readiness, facilities, supplies, recruiting, onboarding, and seasonal prep.
