Regional Nurse Specialist - CA
Remote with 75% Travel | Senior Living Communities
Are you a seasoned nurse leader passionate about improving quality care and supporting clinical teams? Join our team at Agemark as a Regional Nurse Specialist and play a key role in driving excellence across our senior living communities.
About the Role
As a Regional Nurse Specialist, you will provide leadership, support, and guidance to nursing teams across multiple locations. You will ensure compliance with regulatory standards, support ongoing quality improvement, and serve as a vital resource during leadership transitions or vacancies. This position requires frequent travel (up to 75%) and hands-on involvement with nursing operations.
***MUST LIVE IN CALIFORNIA - prefer near Sacramento or LA area***
Key Responsibilities
Coach and support property nurses and directors in alignment with our company’s mission and values
Assist in hiring, training, mentoring, and evaluating nursing staff
Conduct quality assurance audits and implement improvement plans
Support state survey preparedness, mock surveys, and post-survey action plans
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
Collaborate with leadership on nursing program rollouts and operational improvements
Provide written reports, guidance, and hands-on support as needed across assigned communities
What You Bring
Unrestricted RN license in state(s) of operation
Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in senior living or related field
Strong knowledge of nursing processes, regulatory standards, and quality assurance practices
Experience with dementia care and RCFE (preferred for California)
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with documentation and electronic health records
Ability to travel frequently and adapt to a dynamic, team-oriented environment
