Job summary

UPMC Primary Care is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to deliver acute patient care across multiple sites in Central PA. You will support care teams, manage Epic in-basket messages, and help reduce administrative burden while maintaining high-quality, patient-centered care.

The role emphasizes collaboration, continuity, and safety within a PCMH framework, with the flexibility to cover clinics during provider absences and peak demand periods.

Qualifications

• Experience in family medicine or urgent care (outpatient)
• Proficient in Epic EMR and in-basket workflows
• PA or CRNP credential with PA/CRNP licensure
• Ability to work across multiple clinics/locations in a defined region

Responsibilities

• Provide acute patient care at UPMC Primary Care practices within a defined region.
• Fill in during provider leave, transition, or high demand.
• Deliver same-day acute care during business hours in a PCMH model.
• Manage Epic in-basket messages (lab results, refills, patient communications).
• Collaborate with physicians, staff, and other APPs to ensure continuity and safety of care.
