Regional Nurse Manager (Travel Medicine) – Join Our Team at Passport Health!

About Us

Passport Health is the largest and leading provider of travel medicine and immunization services in North America. With 300+ clinics across the U.S. and Canada, we are committed to providing exceptional medical care and ensuring travelers are protected against vaccine-preventable diseases. Our team of highly trained healthcare professionals educates and prepares clients for safe, healthy travel.

We are currently seeking a Regional Nurse Manager to join our clinical operational leadership team. This individual will oversee a group of Area Nurse Supervisors (Territory Supervisor) and provide both operational and clinical support to a network of approximately 75–100 nurses across multiple states in your assigned region.

Position Overview

The Regional Nurse Manager plays a key leadership role in driving clinical excellence and operational efficiency across the region. This position focuses on coaching and development, quality assurance, performance management, and cross-functional collaboration. You’ll directly support 5–7 Area Nurse Supervisors in smaller operating markets and serve as a clinical resource and administrative leader.

Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience, with eligibility for bonuses and benefits.

  • We offer a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and more.

Location: Based in the South/Central U.S. — preferred cities include Chicago, Austin, or San Antonio.

  • This position requires regional travel of up to 25%.
  • We may be open to strong candidates located in other major cities within the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a clinical and operational escalation point across the region.
  • Support and mentor 5–7 Area Nurse Supervisors (Territory Supervisor) in managing local nursing teams.
  • Lead training initiatives and ensure adherence to clinical quality standards.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide regular coaching and feedback.
  • Partner with client services to address escalated clinical or customer issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to align regional and company-wide goals.
  • Use key performance metrics to drive improvements and accountability.
  • Assist in launching new clinics, relocations, and regional hiring needs.
  • Actively contribute to leadership planning and national strategy meetings.

Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in good standing; compact licensure preferred.
  • Previous clinical managerial experience required.
  • Successfully complete Passport Health’s Travel Medicine Consultant RN training program to gain firsthand experience in our clinical protocols and workflows—enabling more effective coaching, problem-solving, and operational leadership.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lead with compassion, coach performance, and build trust.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Assist with making data focused decisions based on internal analytical data.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.

Preferred Attributes

  • Collaborative mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Comfortable balancing clinical oversight and operational responsibilities.
  • Skilled at identifying team needs and creating a culture of engagement and accountability.

What We Offer

  • A mission-driven organization focused on global health, travel, and disease prevention.
  • Opportunities for growth and development within a national clinical leadership team.
  • A collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • The chance to make a meaningful impact on both travelers' lives and our nurse community.
