Infinity Healthcare Consulting is seeking a Regional Nurse Consultant to support long-term care facilities, ensuring resident safety and regulatory compliance across the state. The ideal candidate is a registered nurse with 3–5 years as a DON and at least 8 years in healthcare, holds a current Indiana license, and has a valid driver's license and auto insurance.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid drivers’ license and current auto insurance.
• A minimum of 3-5 years previous experience as a DON in a skilled nursing facility.
• Must have 8 years previous experience in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Conducts on-site visits to assess facility compliance with company policies and governmental regulations.
• Assists with development and revision of clinical policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
• Educates and supports Administrators and DONs to implement systems and improve resident outcomes.
• Develops short and long-term goals aligned with regulations and company standards.
• Supports facilities during state survey processes, including survey prep and corrective action monitoring.
• Screens applicants for nurse management positions with facility leadership.
• Trains nursing staff on regulations and company policies as requested.
• Collaborates with consultation staff to implement improvement plans and ensure compliance.
• Collaborates with all compliance departments to ensure holistic adherence.
• Conducts audits of clinical compliance issues at each facility.
• Completes facility visit reports and audit results with findings and corrective actions.
• Troubleshoots and problem-solves facility needs for residents and staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Regional Nurse Consultant is responsible for providing support to long term care facilities to ensure the safety and well-being of residents. The person holding this position is delegated the responsibility for carrying out the assigned duties and responsibilities in accordance with current existing federal and state regulations and established company policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Conducts on-site visits to assess each facility’s compliance with company policies/procedures and governmental regulations

• Assists with the development and revision of clinical policies and procedures to ensure compliance with governmental regulations and current standards of practice

• Assists Administrators & DONs in educating, implementing systems, monitoring, and developing improvement plans in order to promote positive resident outcomes

• Helps develop short and long-term goals and objectives consistent with company standards and governmental regulations

• Acts as a support system to the facilities as needed throughout the state survey process, including assistance with survey prep, writing a corrective action plan, and monitoring for compliance

• Works with Administrators, Directors of Nursing, and Regional Director in the screening of applicants for nurse management positions

• Helps train nursing department and facility management on governmental regulations and company policies and procedures when requested by facility

• Partners with other consultation staff to develop and implement action plans to assist facility departments in improving compliance

• Collaborates with all compliance departments

• Conducts preventative and complaint driven audits of clinical compliance issues at each facility

• Completes and submits detailed facility visit reports and audit results specifying compliance issues ad corrective action

• Assess, trouble-shoot, and problem-solve to meet the needs of the facilities, residents, and clinical staff

• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
