Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a seasoned Network Engineer to join a regional team supporting the network services across the Boston area. You will install, configure, and maintain Cisco routers, switches, wireless controllers, DNS/DHCP, and Radius/TACACS, ensuring reliability for hospitals and remote offices.

This role requires hands-on experience with layer 2/3 networking, OSPF/EIGRP, and wireless planning tools.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years supporting Cisco equipment at layer 2/3.
• 3+ years routing with OSPF and EIGRP.
• Experience with Wireless LAN Controllers and Access Points, 802.1X.
• Experience with Brocade equipment.
• Familiarity with Ekahau Pro for wireless planning.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support Cisco routers and switches (layer 2/3).
• Install, configure wireless controllers and access points.
• Manage DHCP/DNS appliances and Radius/TACACS integration.
• Maintain network documentation and diagrams.
• Monitor regional networks and coordinate on-call coverage.
• Assist with network design and mentoring junior engineers.
• Provide exceptional customer service for Networking services.
