Job summary

Akumin is seeking dependable CDL-A truck drivers to operate tractor trailers for mobile medical imaging units across the Northeast. You will pick up from a yard, travel to hospitals and clinics, and set up or tear down equipment for appointments, often working night shifts.

Extensive training is provided. Benefits include medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) with employer match, paid time off, and paid holidays. A clean DOT record and ability to lift up to 100 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid CDL-A with DOT Medical Certification.
• Clean DOT driving record with no moving violations.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and handle equipment setup.
• Experience driving tractor trailers and parking large vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Drive tractor trailers for mobile medical imaging units.
• Set up/tear down medical equipment at destinations.
• Deliver to hospitals and clinics, often night routes.
• Complete pre- and post-trip inspections and QA checks.
• Maintain safety and compliance with ICC/DOT regulations.

Regional Mobile Medical Trailer Truck Driver CDL - Full TimeAkumin Inc$27 - $37 an hour depending experience and locationPaid training, 401(k), Health insurance, Paid time off, Vision insurance, Dental insuranceLocation: Northeast Regional RouteFull job descriptionWe are seeking dependable and efficient CDL Class A truck drivers to drive tractor trailers for National over the road deliveries of medical diagnostic equipment. Must be organized, detailed oriented, and comfortable working independently. A clean driving record and commercial driving experience is a must.CDL-A drivers are responsible for the safe and timely movement of tractor trailers configured for mobile medical imaging (MRI, PET & CT mobile units).Detailed Job DescriptionThe MRI/CT techs in the mobile units scan during the day, so drivers will move trailers at night to locations where appointments are scheduled. Employees report to designated parking location daily to pick up their truck, then drive to hospitals & medical clinics. Once the employee arrives at a client location, they drop off or pick up their trailer. Set up/tear down requires drivers to get out of their truck and unload or pack up the trailer (we say this takes about 30-45 minutes). Drivers will typically transport 1-2 trailers a night. Drivers will be provided training for 4-6 weeks to learn the routes and to learn how to set up/tear down trailers.Shift & ScheduleEmployees work 8 -12 hours shifts. Shifts will include a mixture of week days and/or week nights and some weekends.
