Job summary

Core-Mark International in Springfield, IL is seeking a Merchandiser to price and stock customer stores, coordinating with the Merchandising Manager across the geographic area served. A Merchandiser may be permanent or a temporary Sales Trainee in a training program.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to work independently, and possess strong communication and customer service skills. The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with a starting 8am shift and benefits from Day 1 health,

Qualifications

• Self-motivated, self-starter and detail oriented.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in pricing and setting customer shelving.
• Assist in creating customer store lay-outs and placing orders via telxon unit and arranging delivery.
• Submit forms for employee reimbursements (travel, auto, gas, per diem, hotel).
• Participate in company shows by setting up and tearing down displays.
• Record unsalable merchandise when re-setting stores for credits.
• Assist in delivering and unloading orders and returns.
• Maintain inventory of merchandising supplies (tags, hooks, guns, labels).
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
