Job summary

Oakmont seeks an experienced Traditions Director to lead dementia care initiatives across communities in California. You will recruit and onboard directors, coach teams, and ensure adherence to programming standards and policies.

The role involves audits, training, budgeting, and cross‑functional collaboration with the regional and corporate teams. Applicants should have 2+ years as a Traditions Director (or equivalent), extensive dementia experience, and a willingness to obtain the RCFE

Qualifications

  • 18+ years of age and able to obtain CA DDS dementia trainer qualifications.
  • Minimum 2 years as Traditions Director or equivalent in a related field.
  • At least 2 years working with persons with dementia and 1 year in leadership.
  • Clear budgeting, program costs, labor, scheduling, and HR/hiring knowledge.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and independent work ability.
  • Must pass DOJ background check and have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in recruiting and onboarding Directors for communities.
  • Support new Directors until fully functional in their roles.
  • Provide retraining and coaching as directed by leadership.
  • Conduct program audits and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Ensure adherence to Oakmont Traditions policies in all communities.
  • Contribute to policy development and cross-team collaboration.
  • Assist in new community openings, including team setup and training.
  • Help develop Oakmont programming standards and related systems.
