Qualifications

POSITION PURPOSE

The Regional Member Manager serves as the primary relationship manager for assigned Golbon Distributor Members, helping them maximize membership value through program participation, Supplier Partner engagement, business development support, and proactive management. This role drives Distributor Member growth, profitability, satisfaction, retention, and long-term engagement through consultative guidance and consistent follow-through.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Distributor Member Growth & Supplier Conversion

  • Partner with Distributor Members to identify, implement, and monitor opportunities that increase purchases through Golbon Supplier Partners and strategic programs.
  • Develop Distributor Member-specific Supplier Partner conversion plans that align with business goals, growth strategies, and regional sales objectives.
  • Collaborate with Supplier Partners and internal Golbon teams to support conversion initiatives, remove barriers to adoption, and drive measurable growth.
  • Promote Golbon programs, products, and services that improve Distributor Member competitiveness, profitability, and long-term engagement.

Program Engagement, Marketing & Incentive Support

  • Support Distributor Member engagement with Golbon Brands, Golbon Programs, the Golbon Signature Supplier Program, Opportunity Buys, Supplier Partner promotions, marketing resources, travel incentives, and educational/networking events.
  • Present relevant Golbon programs, reports, special offerings, resources, and business development opportunities during Distributor Member visits, regional meetings, and industry events.
  • Support Distributor Member attendance and participation at Golbon conferences, regional meetings, training events, and share groups.
  • Assist Distributor Members in developing marketing and incentive strategies that support sales growth, customer engagement, and participation in Golbon recognition and travel programs.
  • Facilitate collaboration, best-practice sharing, and purchasing synergies among Distributor Members.
  • Execute and support new Supplier Partner onboarding activities in coordination with internal Golbon teams.

Distributor Member Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary relationship manager and trusted business partner for assigned Distributor Members.
  • Maintain regular communication with Distributor Members to understand business objectives, challenges, opportunities, and revolving needs.
  • Coordinate resources across Golbon departments to address Distributor Member needs, resolve concerns, and support timely follow-through.
  • Build strong relationships that drive Distributor Member satisfaction, engagement, retention, and long-term success.
  • Advocate for the voice of the Distributor Member by sharing feedback and insights that support continuous improvement of Golbon programs, services, and resources.

Success Measures

Success will be measured by:

  • Preferred Supplier Partner purchase growth and conversion results.
  • Achievement of assigned regional sales and purchasing goals.
  • Distributor Member participation in Golbon programs, promotions, Opportunity Buys, events, and networking opportunities.
  • Distributor Member satisfaction, engagement, and retention.
  • Timely follow-through on Distributor Member needs, concerns, and support requests.
  • Use of Distributor Member feedback to identify improvement opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of sales & marketing experience in the foodservice distribution industry.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication, organizational and project management skills are required.
  • Must possess analytical, results-oriented, self-starter, passion for learning, problem solver, and self-motivated competencies.
  • Required computer skills: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint).
  • Travel required to attend Golbon conferences, Distributor Member visits and various industry events – approximately 35%.
  • College degree in business, marketing, operations management or related field preferred.
  • Ability to lift 20 – 50 pounds.
