Job summary

Lee Health Regional Lab in Florida is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technologist to perform waived, moderate and high complexity testing with accuracy and efficiency. You will maintain equipment, run quality controls, and support quality management while prioritizing workloads and adapting to staffing needs.

The role requires a Bachelor's or Associate degree in lab science, Florida licensure as a CLT/CLS, and strong communication skills to collaborate with nursing staff, physicians and patients

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate degree in laboratory technology, chemical or biological sciences.
• Experience: None required.
• Certification: Successful completion of an accredited clinical laboratory technologist training program in accordance with Florida DOH Board of Clinical Laboratory Personnel Florida Administrative Code.
• License: Clinical Laboratory Technologist (TN) or Clinical Laboratory Supervisor (SU) required.
• Other: Communication and interpersonal skills, general computer skills, ability to operate office equipment (phone, fax, copier).

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical laboratory testing for all patient types in a timely, efficient and accurate manner.
• Perform waived, moderate and high complexity tests per regulatory requirements.
• Complete equipment maintenance, quality control and quality management activities per manufacturer recommendations and policies.
• Prioritize workload and remain flexible to meet customer and departmental needs.
• Participate in process improvement to improve turnaround times and test quality.
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, patients, co-workers and Lee Health customers.
