Merck seeks a Regional Medical Scientific Director to lead scientific exchange, research collaboration, and investigator-sponsor interactions across US territories. The role advances company-sponsored and investigator-initiated studies, supports scientific congress activities, and ensures alignment with GMSA strategies.

Travel up to 50% is expected to cover FL, GA, AL, AR, LA, and MS. The incumbent will provide expert medical input, engage with external stakeholders, and mentor field medical

Formación

• PhD, PharmD, DNP, DO, or MD.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant therapeutic area experience beyond degree.
• Ability to conduct doctoral-level discussions with external stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of FDA, OIG, HIPAA regulations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and networking skills.
• Proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, OneNote.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsabilidades

• Engages in bidirectional scientific exchange with national and regional SLs.
• Leads discussions and directs inquiries on issues outside RMSD scope.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of AOIs and therapeutic areas.
• Initiates scientific/data exchanges to align with research strategies.
• Recommends sites and investigators for phase II-IV studies, and conducts SIVs.
